Our Promise
No child anywhere in Newfoundland and Labrador, who can benefit from our medical service, will go untreated.
Shriners Hospitals for Children is an international healthcare system dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs.
Children up to the age of 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip or palate are eligible for admission and receive all needed care in a family-centered environment with no financial obligation to patients or families.
There are 4 hospitals that receive children from Newfoundland and Labrador as well as the outreach clinic in Gander. Over 1000 patients and their families have been helped through this program.
